I’m a city girl with small town personality. A third generation Arizona native with my heart set in the peaceful forest, yet part of me still craves the diversity of the desert life. It's a harmony I love about living in this state.
I am a Creative, personally and professionally. I'm a photographer (if you didn't catch that already), writer, scrapbooker, baker, singer (my kids may disagree with this one), dancer, music lover, and appreciate art in every form. I love to learn and education is a life long endeavor, not just a piece of paper, but I do I have this thing called a Bachelor's degree. ;)
I have three vices... coffee (or hot Irish tea), chocolate and pedicures! I love four leaf clovers, the color purple, summer dresses and comfortable shoes.
Family is my life. I am blessed and lucky to share my life with my Soulmate and three crazy little (and not so little) boys.
Nature is our playground. Our bonding time is camping... or rather "glamping." We are boon-dockers, finding places in our toy hauler where we can get away from it all. We're so lucky that Arizona provides us year-round camping, from the desert lakes to the high country forests. It truly is our little slice of heaven.
At home, we're your typical family. We love to eat. My husband is an amazing cook! Music is a must and dancing is encouraged (though never judged!) Time in the pool is our summer time saving grace... fellow Phoenicians, you know what I'm talking about! Netflix and popcorn are perfect for family movie nights. Toys and cars...well there are a lot of them. Real ones and Hotwheels, they have taken over. I'm outnumbered by boys but I wouldn't have it any other way.
It all started with a High School journalism class, my dad's old Canon FT-QL film camera and a darkroom. I feel lucky to have learned on an old manual film camera, but so thankful for the digital technology we have today. It's the best of both worlds.
When it comes to photography, I have such a split personality. My first love is wedding and portrait photography because I believe in love, romance, beauty, sensuality and capturing sentimental moments through the lens of my camera.
I preserve the precious moments that time steals from us too quickly, so you can look back and enjoy the memories over and over again with warmth and love. I will laugh with you, cry with you and etch cherished moments forever into the lens of my camera.
The other half of my photography passion is out on the track, yes a racetrack.
Before I could walk my father was already influencing my love for racing... I remember going to all kinds of events from drag races to sprint cars and the demolition derby (where my dad and uncles often took the top prize!)
I took first place in a Big Wheels race at our neighborhood block party growing up, beating all of the boys, in a dress I might add. We always had go-karts as kids and I still remember the one and only time I crashed into a tree.
When I first met my husband, he was frequenting auto-cross events, which eventually led to road racing with NASA (National Auto Sport Association) and purchasing a racecar. It was only natural for me to join my better-half track side and before long, I couldn’t resist the challenge of racing photography. Though I don't make it out the the track as often anymore, it's still a passion and I'll be back at it soon enough.
TRAVEL and ADVENTURE
"Of all the books in the world, the best stories are found between the pages of a passport." - Unknown
That, by far, is one of my favorite quotes. I suffer from a severe case of wanderlust and travel is an obsession. I have been to over 200 cities in 10 different countries and I'm just getting started! It's such a humbling, eye opening experience and a gift for the soul. I will try just about anything once, pushing my boundaries and growing, one experience at a time. My passport is ready for more stamps!
Thank you for visiting my page! I look forward to the opportunity to work with you soon!
